Onboarding

Start with the work.

Bring a live project or a workflow that needs to work better. We agree the question, the deliverable and the review process first. A bid review is one way to start; custom tools begin with a scoped pilot.

How it goes

One way in: your next bid.

Day 0

Send the set.

A plan-room link or the files. No account, no login, nothing to install.

Day 1

What's missing.

The scope gaps, written up as RFIs with sheet references. Then 15 minutes on the phone: what we found, what you want priced.

Pilot

One bid, priced.

We read and price one active bid in your format. You check it against your own number.

Then

Per scope, per set, or monthly.

A trade scope, a full bid package quoted on receipt, or a monthly Bid Desk. Cancel any time.

Before the concrete, there's Formwork. Send us your next bid.
What we need from you

Four things. All optional.

01

Your estimate template

So the number lands in the format you already bid in. Without it, you get clean CSI divisions.

02

Unit-cost preferences

Your labor rates, crew assumptions and markups. Or we use local market costs and show our work.

03

Your sub list

Who you invite and trust, so bid-day leveling compares the numbers you'll actually get.

04

Your bid calendar

What you're chasing and when it's due, so we can start reading sets as they post.

Security & confidentiality

Your number stays yours.

NDA

NDA on request

We'll sign yours or send ours before you share a single sheet.

■

Files stay private

Bid sets live in private, access-controlled storage. Only the people working your bid can open them.

≠

One GC per bid

If we're on your bid, we're not on a competing GC's bid for the same job. Nothing we make for you — quantities, pricing, RFIs — is shared across bidders.

✕

Deleted on request

Ask and we delete your files and deliverables, and confirm in writing.

FAQ

Straight answers.

How accurate is it?

Every quantity traces back to a sheet and a markup you can audit. Every clause and fee points to its page. Machines do the counting; an estimator checks it and signs it. If a number moves, you can see why.

Who checks the number?

An estimator reviews every deliverable before it leaves Formwork. No black boxes. Every quantity traces to a sheet.

How fast is turnaround?

Gap check within 24 hours of receiving the set. Quantities and RFIs before the pre-bid. The priced estimate is re-run on the last addendum, ahead of bid day. We confirm dates the day the set lands, and tell you up front if the timeline is tight.

What does it cost?

The Gap Check is $0. A Trade Scope (one trade, quantities and markups) starts at $750. A Full Bid Package for a GC is quoted when we see the set. Bid Desk, a monthly allotment, starts at $3K per month. Owner-side work is quoted per project.

Which trades do you cover?

CSI divisions 02 through 33: sitework and earthwork, utilities, paving, concrete, steel, framing and drywall, roofing, glazing, doors and hardware, finishes, specialties, casework, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and controls, electrical, low voltage and security, landscaping. GCs get the whole set; subs get their scope.

What happens when addenda drop?

We track addenda on every bid we have. Affected quantities are re-run and you get a short delta memo: what changed, where, and what it does to the number.

Do you work in our estimate template?

Yes. Send your template and we deliver in it. No template? You get a clean CSI-division estimate that drops into most systems.

Do we have to install anything?

Not for a file-based project review: we can deliver marked-up drawings, estimates and RFIs in your format. If the assignment includes custom software or integrations, we agree access, implementation and training requirements before starting.
